Ok, back to cake today!
This one was created for a lovely bride, Victoria, that planed well in advance! Her wedding was at the spectacular French’s Point. She was smart to book early, knowing that I only take a limited number of orders and that the delivery would be quite far for me. Their wedding was held on what turned out to be a very popular date in June.
Her fiance, Marc, fell in love with my honeycomb cake, but the design would need a bit of a tweak for their event. The wedding was styled to feel like a tea party in an English garden. Tea cups, mis-matched plates and glassware. Beautiful, petal-y florals in shades of pink.
I personalized their design by swapping out the modern magnolias for a few lush peony, rose, and sweet pea sugar flower arrangements. To add to the custom design, I created a monogram on the center tier, encircling their initials with pearls and piping to mimic the bride’s headpiece.
Dream client (with a kick-ass cake stand), ideal location, and perfect weather, to boot. This one was destined to be a favorite from the start!

Erin, have you limited your cakes more than you used to? Where is the reception place that you mentioned?

Hi Jane! I cut back to strictly wedding cakes a few years ago. French’s Point is in Stockton Springs, Maine. It’s out there, but it’s beautiful. 🙂
